Case Study 1 - Secure Distribution and Company HQ

Client requirement:

Validate solution design, Systems pre configuration, Installation, Commissioning and Project Management of an integrated solution utlising CCTV analytics, Access Control, Intruder and Perimeter Detection Systems, Time & Attendance System. The client objectives:

• Workspace Safety and Security Management
• Operational Productivity & People Management

Prior to installatation works being conducted our role was to validate the solution design by conducting end to end testing within our FAT facility. During this phase we were able to run user training for the client team at our location to be ready for deployment and also complete the fibre and cable infrastructure installation. Thereafter, all control equipments were assembled and pre configured and moved to site to coincide with the facility build programme where our engineers then installed and commissioned the systems in a phased programme to facilitate the client buisness operations. 

Summary of achievements:

• We were able to prove the complete systems components as a unified solution prior to procurement, installation and build. 
• Validation, build and deployment were conducted in our controlled environment which enabled client witness testing and sign off and user training pre advance of installation for operational readiness. 
• Upon installation & commission, the system was live within a very short time scale in order to support the client business operations go live programme,

Case Study 2 - Global Distribution Centre

Client Requirement

Our client is a leading security provider who requested our support for the provision of Project Management, Installation & Commissioning resource for the installation of an integrated security system incorporating CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection and the associated data infrastructure. 

The client facility was in build stage and therefore required project management to liaise with the build contractor throughtout the programme under CDM regulations. Our installation programme was aligned to the build and client mobilisation programme to facilitate their business requirments and the installation activity involved the complete delivery of data infrastructure, power and systems installation onto the client business enterprise IT platforms. 

Summary of achievements:

• Utilisation of our business app 'AI Hub' to conduct and manage all CDM HSE project compliance - zero compliance and safety issues
• Reduction of 11 days to the installation programme
• Installation & commissioning of the integrated security systems incorporating Bosche CCTV & IDS, Lenel ACS

Case Study - International Airport

Client requirement:

Work with the client team and appointed consultants to validate the design and provide project management for the integration of legacy systems onto a new security managment system for a new Airport Operations Centre.

Our scope of works involved replication of the existing systems and fuctionalilty within our FAT facility to validate the solution design and 'cause and effect' functional requirement prior to implementation of the new SMS system, and project management for the roll out of the SMS platform within the client business operations.  

The challenge involved incorporating the variety of existing legacy equipments (which were still operational) onto the new SMS to ensure the system outputs and interfaces were proven to support the client daily operation. Thereafter, working with the technology partner, we project managed the operational roll out programme of the SMS implementation to the client.  To ensure operational readiness, operator training was conducted on the new system at our facility during the build phase and prior to new system go live.   

Summary of achievements

• Pre implementation testing and system sign off was conducted under client governance requirmemnts 
• Zero impact to client operations 
• A seamless handover from previous legacy systems on to the new SMS platform
• Facilitated enhanced standing operating procedures for industry compliance requirements

Case Study 1 - Power Transmission Site

Client requirement:

Provision of complete outsourced delivery team for project management, FAT & system pre-configuration, installation & commissioning for new security sytems for integrated PID's, CCTV & ACS.  

The AIS team project managed and supplied technical engineers for the project duration and worked very closely with the client risk and security management team. The many challenges of working in a live power site with multiple safety hazard issues including working at height, confined spaces and overhead power lines were met by the team and overcome through stringent project and safety planning. Constant communication and technical expertise contributed to the success of this project.

• Successful delivery for the programme of works on time & budget 
• Nil safety issues or events
• Achieved sign-off on the systems witness testing to client compliance requirements

Case Study 2 - Nuclear Power Site

Client requirement:

A major UK Nuclear site required a complete upgrade to security systems for a new build of business facility.  

AIS scope was to provide technical services during the design stage and build phase to the principle contractor. Services delivered included use of our technical facilty to conduct systems testing and sign off for the integrated security system, installation of new systems and commissioning on to the client security mangement platform. Our works involved liaison and close co-operation with site security contractor under CDM regulations, Police and industry regulatory bodies and client programme and project personnel. 

Systems involved IP HD CCTV & Analytics, Vehicle and Pedestrian Access Control.

Summary of achievements:

• Our project works were acknowledged by the regulator and we received positive commendation for our dedication and professional services delivered from the client.
• Successful commissioning of the new systems onto the client SMS with programme timescales.

Case Study - High value residential property West London

Client requirement:

AIS were instructed by a private client to work alongside the architects and designers to specify, design and incorporate a design sensitive integrated security system (CCTV with VMS, ACS, PID's and IDS) to a high value private development project.   

AIS scope was to provide technical services during the design stage and build phase through the principle contractor. Services delivered included use of our technical facilty to conduct testing of the equipments to the integrated security system, installation of new systems and configuration on to the client security mangement platform. Our works involved liaison and close co-operation with site security contractor and project personnel during the design and build phase and thereafter direct with the clients security team. 

Equipment specification - integration of Video Management System incorporating Thermal Detection and CCTV Surveillance with Perimeter Sensors and Intruder detection systems.

Summary of achievements:

• Our design, testing, pre-build confiiguration process facilitated acceleration of the installation and commission programme and reduced our timescale and cost of works by 3 weeks. 

Case Study - Military Facility

Client requirement:

Initial scope of works was to support the in-house security management team and site security contractor to provide a detailed solution design to the specified equipments for an integrated security systems including PSIM solution and operations control room upgrade. Equipments included specified PSIM, VMS, PIDs and integrated CCTV systems. 

We provided system design specialists and conducted design validation and systems testing regime prior to solution sign off for installation. Our detailed design works involved site attendances with specialist contractors together with our own design team to gather the information from site, conduct structural surveys and consult with client project team. Our design outputs were: 

• Detailed CAD design solution to Security Policy Framework & EN50518 standards
• Identification of appropriate PSIM with interfaces to client legacy systems
• Outline cause & effect with applicable existing system upgrades & additions to enable PSIM operation
• Detailed programme of installation works
• Conduct systems validation testing & off site build & configuration

Thereafter our subsequent scope of works involved project management of all site delivery works including installation & systems commissioning into the client PSIM platform.
